Winter Weather Advisory for parts of Southwest Iowa

(Des Moines) The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of southwest, central, eastern and southeastern Iowa.

Crawford, Audubon, Cass, and Adams Counties in Southwest Iowa are included, but on the western edge of the Advisory from 9:00 p.m. this evening to noon on Monday. Adair, Guthrie, Union, Dallas and Madison counties in the listening area are also included in the Advisory.

Forecasters say one to three inches of snow is possible with winds gusting as high as 30-miles per hour.

The National Weather Service cautions motorists during the morning commute to plan for slippery roads and blowing and drifting snow and low visibilities.  Cold temperatures and wind chills in the single-digits are expected during the day on Monday.
