Ian Abrahamson ran for 141 yards on 31 attempts with two scores. Van Meter takes sole possession of first place in the district with Mount Ayr and Clarinda remaining on their schedule. The Bulldogs are 7-0 overall. They picked up their third shutout in the last five outings and lower their defensive average to less than five points allowed per game.

Lenox 70, Murray 6

Lenox responded from their first loss of the season by rushing for nearly 400 yards. Colton Gordon needed just nine attempts to rack up 192 yards and three scores. Drew Venteicher went for 138 yards and three TD’s on 12 attempts. Cullen Wood completed 2/3 passes with scoring throws to Brad Larson for 61 yards and Parker Reed for 13 yards. Larson also returned an interception 30 yards for a score. Lenox has a big showdown with Lamoni next week.

Fremont-Mills 58, East Mills 21

Seth Malcom was at it again. The division one prospect ran for 458 yards on 35 carries with eight trips to the end zone. Malcom is averaging 248 yards per game this season and 12.4 yards per carry. Colton Hauschild had 10.5 tackles while Daniel Vanatta intercepted three passes.
