Alright, so I made cookies over the weekend because I have a cookie sheet. And it was cold out on Saturday so what better day... It started out GREAT! I had all the ingredients, I put everything together correctly because seriously how hard can making cookies be!? Somehow I messed it up. Whether it was baking them too long or putting too much dough in one spot... it did not come out great.
So I have like three baggies of hard cookies that I somehow have to eat. And bless my boyfriends heart as he ate them without uttering one word of criticism. I could literally HEAR HIM CHEWING THEM while I was on the couch and he was in the kitchen. They were so incredibly crunchy.
I always remember my mom's cookies growing up. Of course hers are perfect in every way shape and form. I asked her the other day why mine turned out so terrible and hers are so good. "Because I've been making cookies for 30 some years!" she said. Well damn. I figured I could just make the perfect batch of cookies in one try. Maybe not. Perhaps I need a round two in the whole cookie thing... or move on to bigger and better things... like cake. Any tips for this novice!?
