EXIRA-EHK HOPES TO MAKE BIG IMPROVEMENTS IN WEEK THREE

 

(Exira-EHK) Coach Scott Yates says they were disappointed in last weeks performance but feel like week three opponent Martensdale St. Mary's is a team that the Spartans can compete with.

The Spartans have gotten off to a slow start with an 0-2 record, but have two more weeks of non-district play to improve before the games start counting in th playoff standings. Exira-EHK will be at home on Friday night to take on Martensdale St. Mary's.

LATEST COACHES ASSOCIATION INDIVIDUAL CROSS COUNTRY RANKINGS

 

(Area) In Class 3A boys Glenwood's Johnny Fuller is ranked second and Evan Selsor of Winterset is fourth. Ali Krogman is the number one runner in Class 3A girls. In the class 1A girls individual cross country rankings, Megan Deist of Audubon is sixth and Corning's Tiffany Sheppard is ranked eighth.

AREA CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS RANKED IN TOP 15

 

(Area) The Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association's latest cross country rankings features nine area teams. In Class 3A boy's Glenwood is ranked first. Harlan is eleventh in 3A girls with Atlantic ranked twelfth. In Class 2A boy's Shenandoah Essex is the number nine team. In Class 1A boy's St. Albert is seventh with Woodbine eleventh. The Class 1A girl's rankings have Griswold second, Earlham third, Tri-Center sixth, and Panorama eighth.
