Classification – FULL TIME
We are looking for experienced sales professionals to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing clients. Responsibilities include soliciting new business through prospecting and cold calling, managing and growing existing assigned accounts/budgets, identifying clients’ advertising needs and developing and presenting customized solutions to meet those needs. These individuals are also held accountable for achieving sales budgets and collecting on the accounts.
Responsibilities include:
· Contact prospective customers to sell radio time.
· Maintain account lists and solicit new business.
· Develop proposals utilizing MS office products.
· Prepare promotional plans, sales literature, and advertising proposals.
· Develop and maintain relationships with clients by providing top quality service.
· Investigate and resolve customer problems.
· Communicate with other departments to assure quality service in placing orders and arranging promotional events.
· Responsible for exceeding sales budget and collection of sold accounts.
· Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and client remotes.
Requirements:
The successful candidates must possess exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills. They must be self-motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be cheerful, cooperative and productive. In addition, the right candidate must have:
- High school diploma; college preferred.
- Prior experience in sales/marketing or previous radio salesexperience is preferred.
- Must also have basic knowledge of MS office products, i.e., MS Word and Windows environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance

Programming Department Opening
KSOM/KS 95.7 is looking for a new member in their programming department! We’re looking for an entertaining individual who is brilliant at the basics and understands the importance of local radio. Meredith Communications is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Classification Full-Time Exempt Position
Responsibilities 1. Host Show on KSOM radio (time slot to be determined)
2. Voice Track Show on KSWI radio (time slot to be determined)
3. Two weekend live shows per month
4. Ensure through delegation and accountability that daily production is completed on time and accurately.
5. Write and Produce Commercial Copy daily to the satisfaction of clients.
6. Periodic Community Involvement in terms of appearances and other activities.
7. MC Remote Broadcasts from client locations.
8. Attend weekly programming meeting and weekly air check session in addition to other announced meetings.
9. Other ad-hoc assignments to be determined by the Program Director

1. One year of experience as a Full Time Radio Air Personality.
2. High School Diploma; college preferred.
3. Experience with Adobe Audition or other comparable software program.
4. Experience with Smartcaster or other comparable automation system.
5. Basic knowledge of MS Office Products including MS Word, Excel and Windows.
6. Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance
7. Must live or relocate within 15 miles of Atlantic, Iowa.
