(Earlham) Audubon led the charge among area boys and girls squads competing at the Earlham state qualifying meet Thursday night.
The Wheeler girls are sending three events automatically to the state meet. The Wheeler boys finished the night with two automatic qualifiers. Adair-Casey also had two events punch their ticket to state with wins Thursday.
The Audubon girls won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay plus Emma Konkler won both the 100 and 200 Meter Dash. For the Audubon boys, their automatic qualifications came from Trevor Smith in the 400 and Colby Rattenborg in the Long Jump.

Emmitt Wheatley, of Adair-Casey, dominated the sprint events at Earlham. He won the 100 Meter Dash in 11.36 and the 200 23.00.

Several other area individuals and relays ran good times and will have to wait and see if those times, distances, and heights hold up when compared to the rest of the state.
