(Audubon) Audubon boys track coach Bob Monahan will hang it up after this season. Monahan has already announced his retirement and says after 36 years he is ready to move on to something else.
As far as the team he'll coach in his final year he says they have nice numbers with about 25 out for track.
The Wheelers have some runners back with state meet experience. Colby Rattenborg has qualified in the past in a variety of events. Trevor Smith qualified last year in the 800 and Lucas Smith-Petersen also returns.
Audubon sent a small portion of their team to the Buena Vista Indoor meet last weekend and coach Monahan was pleased with the outcome. They placed 5th in the Shuttle Hurdle and Rattenborg won the long jump.
Audubon will welcome several teams to their home meet next week. Audubon's early bird meet will be held April 1st.
