(Ames) It's all over for Hallie Christofferson at Iowa State. The two time 1st team all-conference selection saw her career come to an end Saturday when #10 seed Florida State bested 7th seed Iowa State 55-44 in the first round of the NCAA Women's National Tournament.
Christofferson scored 13 points on 4-10 shooting from the field and 5-7 from the foul line. With the 13 points the Hamlin native pushed her career total to 1,700 ranking 6th in program history. The Exira graduate scored in double-figures in 40 of her final 43 games. Christofferson's final numbers for her senior season look like this...a team leading 18.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and over one blocked shot per game. She hit 46.1% of her shots from the floor and 87.7% at the free throw line.
Iowa State's season comes to an end at 21-11. They started 15-0 but finished just 6-11 including three straight losses to close the season.
