(Anita) 3-18 CAM starts off District Tournament play by hosting Stanton Monday night in a game we will air on KSOM. Stanton is 6-13 heading into their final regular season game with Bedford Friday.
CAM coach Brian Fogleman says Stanton is a very young team with no seniors. CAM on the other hand has a very experienced group with five seniors and he says that's an advantage they have over Stanton.
Coach Fogleman admits there has been a change in mentality from the regular season to the win or go home district format. The intensity has picked up with players getting chippy in practice.
Stanton coach Steve Bruning says his squad is focusing more on what they need to do as opposed to gearing up to stop CAM. The Vikings have had a very balanced scoring attack with David Sorenson, Brady Johnson, and Kyle Petersen all average over 11 points per game.
Monday's CAM and Stanton matchup will be the 2nd game of our doubleheader. It will follow the Exira-EHK vs Audubon matchup. All the action can be streamed on our SW Iowa app or online at 965ksom.com.
