(Ames) Hallie Christofferson posted 18 points and 14 rebounds in Iowa State's women's college basketball win over Iowa Thursday night in Ames. The 17th rated Cyclones improve to a perfect 9-0 on the season with the victory over the 21st ranked Iowa Hawkeyes.
According to the Omaha World Herald, Christofferson entered the game as one of only three players in the entire country to boast averages of at least 25 points and 7 rebounds per game. Christofferson hit just 4-14 shots from the floor, but made 9-12 from the free throw line.
For the season Christofferson, the Exira High School graduate, is averaging 24.2 points per game on 54.3% field goal shooting. She's also hitting on 40.5% of her three point tries and 90% at the free throw line.
ISU's next opponent is Holy Cross in a game that will be played Saturday, December 14th in Ames.
