(Griswold) Griswold picked up a 53-35 road win in Western Iowa Conference Boys Basketball Tuesday night at Audubon.
The Tigers led just 10-9 after one quarter but then exploded on an 18-4 second quarter run and eventually led 30-16 at halftime. Tyrel Peters had a big first half and scored 20 in the game for the Tigers. Griswold carried the 2nd quarter momentum into the third quarter, not allowing an Audubon second half basket until the 2:00 mark left in the third. Over the 2nd and 3rd quarters Griswold outscored the opposition 33-10. Their 1-3-1 defense forced Audubon into several turnovers. Outside of Peters 20 point night, all of Griswold's other starters scored six points apeice.
Griswold improves to 3-1 on the year heading into their matchup with Missouri Valley on Friday. Audubon drops to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
