(Stanton) The Stanton volleyball team got their season off to a good start Tuesday night with a straight sets win over Nishnabotna. Set scores were 25-9, 25-11, and 25-12.
Head coach Jody Druvinga said it felt good to get the season underway. Returning starters Erin DeKay and Carmen Subbert helped lead several newcomers. Coach Druvinga raves about the play of Subbert who has added more to her game each season. The team also got several key contributions from a lot of the first year starters.
Overall coach Druvinga says the team worked hard and had good team chemistry, but can continue to work on their communication. They’ll be in action next Thursday against South Page.
