(Corning) The history of the Southwest Valley football team got off to a good start on Friday night when the team won their first ever contest.
The Timberwolves travelled 180 miles and defeated Tri-County 48-20, head coach Kent Bass says the athletes came out and played with a ton of emotion in the program’s first game.
They’ll try to carry that fire into their Week 1 matchup with 1-0 Stanton. Last week the offensive line paved the way for 515 rushing yards. That unit will be a big key in the Timberwolves district opener against 1-0 Stanton this Friday night.
Zach Barton, Jordan Stuart, and Tyler Bissell all topped the 100 yard mark in last week’s win. Coach Bass refers to his multiple options in the back field as a 'good stable of backs' to choose from.
