(Audubon) Three seniors graduate from Audubon’s 2012 volleyball team that finished 20-13.
Coach Molly Lange says last year’s winning season was somewhat of a turning point for the program. She says the hard work finally paid off and looks for the team to build off of that success.
The three seniors lost to graduation are Emily Nelsen, Kyra Obermeier, and Allison Rustvold. All three were multi-year starters. That leaves the front line fairly depleted. Coach Lange says nearly a dozen players are vying for those spots.
The good news is the back row players return. That list includes returners Bailey Nelson, Haillie Anthofer, and Olivia Klocke. Newcomers Monica Jessen, Courtney Rudolph, and Morgan Gust are also expected to see time there.
Audubon’s first match of the upcoming season is slated for Tuesday, September 3rd against Guthrie Center.
