(Irwin) Jody Hagedorn didn't allow a hit in five innings pitched to lead IKM-Manning past AHST in Class 2A Regional Softball play on Tuesday. The senior struck out seven and gave up only two walks in the shutout.
Hagedorn also provided the highlights at the plate with a home run and four RBI. Teammate Andrea Nulle also belted a homer and scored three times for the Wolves, now 16-17 on the season. The game was close through three-innings of play with IKM-Manning holding a 1-0 lead in the early going. Things changed in a hurry though when IKM-Manning scored five runs in the 4th top open up the game. The Wolves then ended it early in the fifth scoring seven more runs to win 13-0 in five.
IKM-Manning advances to take on Tri-Center, a team they lost to 14-0 in the regular season. The loss for AHST ends the season of the Vikings with an 11-15 record.
