(Elk Horn) In a game that was tightly contested from start to finish, CAM improved to 4-4 on the season and dropped Exira-EHK 8-1. CAM Senior Jarrad Cavin's stellar pitching outdid Exira-EHK freshman Brady Hansen's strong outing in a 1-0 win for the Cougars.

Cavin allowed six hits over seven innings of work. He struck out five and walked three. The senior worked out of a bases loaded jam in the first inning and got help from the defense when a run was cut down at the plate in the 3rd. In all, Cavin would force Exira-EHK to strand 9 base runners on the night.

CAM backed Cavin with just enough offense to get the win. The Cougars were only able to pick up three hits agianst Brady Hansen, but one of them was an RBI single by Matthew Williamson that scored Trevor McKee in the fourth inning.
