(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley won a crazy, back and forth softball game against Corning Tuesday night. The Wolverines outlasted the Red Raiders in a game that featured 27 combined hits, 14 combined errors, and 28 total runs.

Thanks to a 7th inning grand slam by Nodaway Valley senior Sydney Reeves, Nodaway Valley prevailed 15-13. Nodaway Valley trailed 1-0 early on but put four runs on the board in the top of the 4th only to see Corning answer right back and tie the game in teh bottom of the inning.

The teams traded runs through the next three innings. Nodaway Valley then took the lead for good in the 7th inning. It was an inning in which they tacked six runs on the board with four of them coming on the grand slam by Reeves.

Nodaway Valley improves to 3-7 on the season. Next up for the Wolverines is 1-2 Mount Ayr.
