(Griswold) Monday night the Griswold Tigers were able to do something that they couldn't get done last year, that's beating Tri-Center. The Tigers came away with a 7-3 vitory over the Trojans.
The Tigers used their speed to leg out four infield singles, including three from #9 hitter Payton Rush. Brooke Hansen hit a key 2-RBI double in the third inning which coach Peggy Hansens says gave the rest of the hitters more confidence that they could hit Tri-Center's pitching.
The win evens Griswold's record at 3-3 on the season. They are averaging over 12 runs per game in their victories which have come over Riverside, Tri-Center, and CAM. The team is 2-2 in the conference heading into a Tuesday contest with Missouri Valley.
