(Neola) The Tri-Center baseball team snapped a three game losing streak and improved to 5-4 overall with a 14-6 win on Monday over Griswold.
Coach Josh Abel says the team had been struggling with recent injuries to Nick Guarino and Britton Barrier, but were able to put the ball in play consistently on Monday. 12 of the 14 runs scored were unearned.
Junior Jake Schneckloth got his first start of the season on the mound and came away as the winning pitcher. He allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in the game against the now 0-6 Griswold Tigers.
The road ahead is a challenging one this week for the Trojans. They are scheduled to have back to back road games against St. Albert and Treynor.
