TRI-CENTER BASEBALL TEAM OFF TO A QUICK START

(Neola) The Tri-Center baseball team will take on Fremont-Mills in a non-conference contest Thursday night. This week's schedule also has the Trojan's taking on Underwood on Friday.

Five games into the baseball season Tri-Center’s 4-1 record has come as a welcome sight to head coach Josh Abel considering how many key pieces graduated from last year’s team.

The team is coming off of a 7-2 victory over Riverside their last time out. The key to that win according to coach Able was pitching.

The Trojans have welcomed with open arms Senior Britton Barrier back to the team. Barrier didn’t play the last two summers because of AAU basketball, but the Morningside football recruit is back out for baseball this summer.

Barrier hasn’t taken long to get back into the swing of things, he leads the team with five stolen bases and is hitting .313 with a .500 on base percentage.
