(Des Moines) Chaley Rath’s first place finish in the Class 2A Girls high jump vaulted Treynor to the top of the heap in the Class 2A team race.
Rath cleared 5-05.00 to give the Cardinals a 10-point boost. Rath’s win pushed Treynor from eighth place into the lead. Davis County is a close second with 23.75 points.
In the Class 3A Boys team race; Fort Madison leads the field with 27-points, and Glenwood is second with 25-points. Mount Pleasant is right behind with 24.
In other results the Glenwood girls recorded the second fastest time in the Class 3A 4x100 meter relay preliminaries Friday afternoon. The team of Courtney Magnussen, Kecia Caudill, Sarah Salerno, and Chelsea Webster had a time of 50.00. Pella recorded the fastest time of 49.92.
In the Class 3A girls 4x400 meter relay preliminaries, Harlan qualified with the third fastest time of 4:01.31. The members include; Mikayla Evers, Elle Kloewer,
Asia Kloewer, and Jess Feldman.
In the Class 3A Boys 4x400 meter relay prelims; the Glenwood boys ran the fastest time of 3”22.19. James Fuller, Brady Wheeler, Jared Cook, and Derek Jones carrying the stick for the Rams, who are in the hunt in the Class 3A team race. Fort Madison leads the field with 27-points, and Glenwood is second with 25-points. Mount Pleasant is right behind with 24.
