(Anita) Exira-EHK swept the Rolling Hills Conference Golf Tournament played at Crestwood Hills in Anita Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans boys finished with a team total of 348 which was 14 strokes ahead of runner-up Glidden-Ralston. Ankeny Christian Academy placed third with a team total of 389. CAM's 442 and Adair-Casey's 457 rounded out the five team field.


Jon Smiley of Adair-Casey won the boys individual championship in a playoff over Brady Hotchkiss of Ankeny Christian Academy. Even Arrellano of Glidden-Ralston edged Chance Lauritsen of Exira-EHK in the playoff for 3rd place. Brady Frum and Jared Hansen each of Exira-EHK earned all-conference honors as well with their 5th and 6th place finishes.


On the girls side, Exira-EHK was the lone team that registered a team score. They shot a collective 396 and grabbed a second straight team title. Leading the way for the Spartan girls were three individuals in the top six. Kate McAlpin finished 3rd, Jessica Wood was 4th and Cassie Irlmeir placed 5th. Other girls place winners were medalist Shelby Williams of CAM who won by 13 strokes with her 81. The runner up was Gabby Snyder of Ankeny Christian, while Madison Stanley of Glidden-Ralston finished 6th.
