(Harlan) The Harlan girls track team is two days away from the biggest meet of their season. The Cyclones will be one of eight Class 3A teams competing in the state qualifying meet at Glenwood.
Harlan has qualified a plethora of events for state in each of the past few seasons. This year though the strategy will change according to head coach Bill Hosack. Hosack’s approach is more about quality than quantity.

The Cyclones have put together impressive performances in each of their last two times on the track. Harlan has won the Atlantic and Hawkeye-10 Conference meets convicingly over the course of the last week to ten days.
In Class 3A the top two place winners from each state qualifying site automatically advance to the state meet. After that the next eight top times around the state will qualify. KS95.7 will have reports from the Glenwood state qualifying meet on Thursday evening.
