(Greenfield) Griswold boys track and field topped the 14 team field at the Nodaway Valley meet. The Tigers team total of 101 was 30 points better than runner-up Mount Ayr.
Bolstering the Tigers team scoring was several 2nd and 3rd place finishes. 2nd place finishes in running events came from Zach Vance in 1600 meter run (4:54), Derek Kirchoff 200 meter dash (24.10), and Kenneth Clary in the 100 meter dash (11.54). The Sprint Medley Relay team of Clary, Taylor Briles, Austin Dollen, and Jordan Vetter also placed 2nd.
The Tigers added three more silvers in the field events with Aaron Metheny jumping 19-06.5 in the long jump, Collin fast placed 2nd in both the discus (139-02) and shot put (44-09.25).
Five third place finishes also helped contribute to the team's win. Briles was third in the 100 and Brighton Brandt was third in the 3,200 meters. 3rd place relays included the 4X200, 4X400, and 4X800.
