(Guthrie Center ) Exira-EHK's three year reign atop the Rolling Hills Conference in boys track and field came to an end Monday when the Spartans scored 105 points to place third.
However, Scott Yates, head coach for the Exira-EHK Spartan boys track squad, said after Monday's conference meet that he was, "Maybe more excited this year than the previous three that we won." Yates went on to state that the team performed, "If not to our maximum potential, maybe above our maximum potential."
Some of those top performances included Nick Peppers throwing 118-00 to win the discus and Zach Kliefoth with a record setting win in the shot put. Cole Anderson grabbing golds in the 400 Meter Dash and 400 Meter Hurdles.

Drew Peppers grabbed a second place finish in the 800 and the Spartans 4X200 Meter Relay also took 2nd place. The Spartans were 16 points behind runner-up Glidden-Ralston and 24 points back of team champion Adair-Casey.
