(Oakland) After having six competitions cancelled or postponed, the Audubon Wheeler competed in the first meet of the season Tuesday at Riverside.
Audubon's girls golf team shot a team total of 195. They were led by Medalist Susie Bylund's 47. Rachel Flug shot a 48 to be runner-up medalist. Also adding to the team score were Lexie Thygesen and Faith Fliflet who each shot 50. Teagan Albright also played on the varsity for the Wheelers and she recorded a 57. Riverside did not have enough golfers to qualify a team score. Their lone competitor, Reagan Gaynor, shot 57.
Riverside edged Audubon in boys golf 178-201. Medalist was Audubon's Andy Hoffman (41). Tyler Krueger of Riverside's 42 earned runner-up medalist. Rounding out Audubon's varsity scoring were Logan McVay (52), Chris LaFoy (54), and Chase Petersen (54).
Up next for the Wheeler golfers on the tentative schedule is Griswold on April 22nd.
