(Orange City) Former Adair-Casey boys basketball standout Zack Leeper scored 15 points for Northwestern College Wednesday night in their 77-63 against Dakota Wesleyan. The victory came in the Great Plains Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals.
Leeper is averaging 12.5 points per game this season which ranks third best on the team. He is in his second year as a starter for the Red Raiders after transferring from Northern State and was an honorable mention all-conference selection last season as a sophomore. This is his second year as a starter for Northwestern. Logan-Magnolia graduate Levi Ettleman is also in the team's starting lineup, while Atlantic alum Jacey Hoegh sees time off the bench.
The Red Raiders are the #1 seed in the GPAC tourney with a 17-3 record. They host 11-9 Morningside in the semi-finals Saturday.
