(Atlantic) Dalton Franken led Atlantic with 23-points Monday night over ADM 63-43 in a Class 3A District quarterfinal at Atlantic.
ADM went on a 9-0 run in the first quarter and led the Trojans 9-6. But, Atlantic got busy in the second quarter and outscored the Tigers 16-8 to take a 22-17 halftime lead behind Franken’s 9-second quarter points. The Trojans led 40-33 after three quarters and opened it up in the fourth quarter on a 20-10 run.
Four players finished in double figures for the Trojans. Along with Franken’s 23, Chad Christiansen scored 15-points, Harrison Hoegh had 12 and Sam Markham chipped in 11. ADM was led by Logan Essy’s 13-points and Ben Larsen added 12.
Atlantic matches up against Creston Thursday night in a District Final at Nodaway Valley. It will be the third meeting between these two teams. Atlantic won the first two 47-40, and 47-38.
