(Oakland) Riverside senior Ricky Williams signed a letter of intent today to play college basketball for Briar Cliff. Williams has received significant recruiting attention for both football and basketball.
Williams tells KSOM sports that the coaching staff at Briar Cliff received rave reviews from current players. He says he began to consider football when the offers started to come in, but always wanted to play basketball growing up. Williams says he is relieved to have his decision made. He credits his parents for helping him with the important decisions throughout the recruiting process.
During his senior season for the Bulldogs he is averaging a state leading 27.6 points per game and ranks 2nd best in the state in rebounding at 13.6 per game.
