(Area) Thirty-four players in the state, including three from the KSOM/KS95.7 sports coverage area, have been named as 2013 McDonald's All-American Game nominees.
T.J. Sterk of IKM-Manning, Ricky Williams of Riverside, and Dalton Franken from Atlantic are all on the list.
T.J. Sterk has posted 18.1 points per game for a 17-1 IKM-Manning squad. The senior recorded a triple-double in a win over West Harrison this season with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Ricky Williams is the leading scorer in the state regardless of class. He averages 27.6 points per game plus 13.6 rebounds per game which ranks 2nd in the state. This past week alone Williams has averaged 31 points per game and 15.3 rebounds per game in Riverside's wins against Tri-Center, Audubon, and Adair-Casey. Williams exploits have led Riverside to a 16-1 record.
Dalton Franken leads an Atlantic team that has won a dozen straight games. The four year starter leads the 15-1 Trojans in scoring (16.4) and rebounding (8.7).
