(Harlan) Harlan beat Glenwood 42-32 in a girls basketball game that aired on KSOM Friday night.
The Cyclones raced out to a 7-2 lead and led the entire first quarter. Glenwood scored the first basket of the second quarter to hold a 12-11 lead, but that was as close as it would be the rest of the way. The Cyclones would build the lead to as large as 18 points in the second half and never led by less than 8 the rest of the game. Leading the team in scoring was Taylor Wagner with 12 points. Taylor Leinen hit three three-pointers off the bench to score 9. Defensively Harlan was able to hold Glenwood leading scorer Grace Newman to 9 points, all of which came in the first half.
Harlan's win streak is now at six games. The Cyclones are 14-1 overall. Glenwood fell to 10-6.
