(Greenfield) The Nodaway Valley Wolverine boys basketball team looked impressive in their win over Corning Tuesday night. The team made 16 3-pointers and forced 23 steals. Thirteen different players scored in the win and nine different players made at least one three point shot. The stingy defense and red hot shooting added up to 115 points on the board by the time it was all said and done. The game was as lopsided as the final score indicated as Nodaway Valley led 36-2 at the end of the first quarter, held a 55-2 advantage at one point in the first half, and led at halftime 74-8.
Nodaway Valley shot 59.7% from the field and 53% from beyond the arc. The Wolverines improve to 15-1 with a 115-24 win. Brad Baudler hit five three's, all in the first half, and matched a season high with 29 points. The starters played very sparingly in the second half, 25 of Buadler's 29 points came before the break.
Corning drops to 1-15 this season. Keegan Longabaugh scored 9 points to lead their offensive effort.
