(Neola) Tri-Center point guard has a long list of accomplishments to show for his four years of varsity basketball at Tri-Center. The senior can now add '1,000 career point scorer' to that list. Barrier became the 8th player in school history to surpass that mark and will be recognized before Tuesday's game against (5-8) Missouri Valley.
The game itself is a key one in the season for Tri-Center. Just one week ago the Trojans sat at 7-1 overall, but a four game losing streak puts the team at 7-5. Tri-Center suffered losses last week to Atlantic, Treynor, Underwood, and St. Albert, but Coach Chad Harder says he is confident that his team will bounce back.
Coach Harder told KSOM/KS95.7 Sports the team learned more than it hurt them during the rough stretch last week. He says they are on their way to becoming the best team they can be by the time the district tournament rolls around.
