(Oakland) The Riverside boys basketball team stays undefeated on the season with their 55-48 win at Underwood Tuesday. The win came in come from behind fashion with the Bulldogs trailing by one heading into the fourth but holding their opponent to just six points in the final quarter to get the win.
Ricky Williams led the team with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Malachi Dillon hit three of his four three-point attempts and had 13 points. Coach Jason Shelangouski says Dillon was also a major factor on the defensive end. He says the close game on the road was a good test for his team. It's the first time this season that Riverside did not win by at least ten points.
Treynor comes up on Friday with a chance to take a two game lead in the Western Iowa Conference standings. Last year these teams split the regular season series and thus split the conference title. Coach Shelangouski says the mission is to win it outright this season. Riverside beat Treynor in Oakland on December 4th by 11 points. Game two will be played at 8-2 Treynor on Friday.
