(Harlan) Sam Markham scored a season high 21-points to lead Atlantic past Harlan 43-41 Tuesday night. Markham scored five straight points in the final minute of the game including a 3-point shot with 39-seconds to play to give Atlantic a 43-41 lead. The Cyclones held out for one shot but couldn’t knock it down and the score held.
Harlan jumped out to a 5-0 lead early and led 15-13 after one quarter and 30-17 at the half. But, the Trojans came out the second half and held the Cyclones to just two field goals outscoring them 26-11.
Markham scored 16 of his 21-points in the second half. Dalton Franken added 14-points, and Harrison Hoegh had 5. Chad Christiansen finished the night with 3-points.
Adam Juhl, Gabe Ferry and Trey Lansman each scored 8 for Harlan, now 5-2 on the season. Atlantic extends their record to 7-1.
