(Tri-Center) Tri-Center head coach Andy Hensley says this year the conference is as strong as it has been in a long time. He looks as Audubon as a possible favorite going in. Coach Hensley says the Trojans are wrestling really well right now.
At 113 pounds Christain Polley is 8-1 on the season with one tournament win under his belt. Two-time state qualifier Darrian Irlbeck is 7-1 at 145. Loren Williams, the two time defending state champion, has just one loss on the season and it came against a two-time Nebraska state champion from Omaha. Williams has been wrestling at 160 but is on his way to 152. At 182 Ben Wellman has started the season at 9-1.
Coach Hensley says all eight teams in the conference are better than they were a year ago and the tournament should provide a good show for the fans.
