(Oakland) Riverside came into the boys basketball season ranked in the top ten in the state and looking to move up the ladder. Through the season's first three weeks of the year the team has done nothing to diminish their chances of accomplishing that goal.
Off to a 4-0 start to the season, the Bulldogs have compiled an average margin of victory of 23.4 points per game. The most recent win came against AHST on Tuesday night by a final of 72-49. Riverside jumped out to a big early lead in that one (40-17 at halftime) and hung on for the win. Ricky Williams scored 29 points and collected 13 rebounds. Brady Ryun added 18 points in the win.
Next up for Riverside is a key conference matchup on Friday. The team will take on Tri-Center who is also unblemished in the WIC standings. Coach Jason Shelangouski says one of the best things about his team is there ability to identify and improve upon the areas they need to work on.
