(Atlantic) Ranked 5th by the AP and 4th by the Sports Spotlight, the Atlantic boys basketball team is off to a 3-0 start to the season.
Win #3 did not come easy for the Trojans as they had to come from behind against the Red Oak Tigers. Red Oak and Atlantic traded baskets early on with the Tigers leading 16-15 after one quarter and 22-21 at halftime. In the second half Atlantic's defense rose to the occasion, only allowing 11 more points the rest of the way. Meanwhile, Atlantic posted 19 second half points to come away with the 41-33 win.
Atlantic senior Dalton Franken netted a game high 16 points and Harrison Hoegh added 11 for the Trojans. Ryan Leinenger led Red Oak with 9.
Atlantic will host Kuemper Catholic on Friday in a game that will air on KS95.7 FM.
