(Council Bluffs) The Atlantic Boys basketball team is off to a 2-0 start. The Trojans defeated Glenwood 58-43,Friday night, and less than 24-hours later outscored St.Albert 49-28.
The Falcons kept it close through 2-quarters, but the Trojans ran away with it in the second half, outscoring the Falcons, 33-16.
The Trojans racked up most of their points on lay ups generated by their relentless man-to-man defense.
Dalton Franken led the Trojans with 18-points, Sam Markham knocked down 15, and Harrison Hoegh (pictured) chipped in 11.
Tucker Culjat led the Falcons with 10-points.
St. Albert led only once and that came shortly after the opening tip. After that the Trojans went on a 10-0 run and led 10-5 after one, 16-12, at the half, and 31-16 after three quarters.
Atlantic hosts Red Oak thus Tuesday night, tip off is set for 7:30.
