(Neola) Basketball competition starts today (Thursday) for the Tri-Center girls team. They’ll open up the season with Thomas Jefferson this evening.
Head Coach Julius Michalik says the team’s experience is their strength. Because of that experience the team is entering the year with perhaps more optimism than they had at this point last year.
Coach Michalik says he hopes that the team’s Jamboree against Logan-Magnolia and Hall of Pride game against Harlan have gotten the first game jitters out of the way. He notes that after three weeks of practices they are ready for the games to begin. They'll play four games in the next eight days.
