(AVOCA) In high school boys basketball on Monday night it was AHST getting by CAM 52-43. The Vikings got off to a good start with several first quarter CAM turnovers and led 19-13 after one quarter. Sophomore Lee Whyte's 15 first half points helped AHST extend the lead to 31-22 at halftime.


Each team scored 14 points in the third quarter and each team scored 7 points in the fourth quarter and thus the nine point halftime lead stood at the end of the game making it a 52-43 final. Lee Whyte finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Steven Jacobsen and Daulton Thies each pitched in 8 points. CAM was led by Trevor McKee's 22 points.


0-1 CAM will take on Orient-Macksburg in another road game tonight. 1-0 AHST opposes Griswold on December 4th.
