(Guthrie Center) Audubon won 10 of their last 11 games to close out the regular season a year ago and kept that momentum going into the 2012-13 season with a 55-30 win at Guthrie Center. The Wheelers got off to an 8-0 run to start the game and never trailed. They held a 24-7 lead after the first quarter and by the second half had built their lead up to as many as 30.

Factoring in the win was a pressure defense that forced several turnovers which led to easy baskets. Susie Bylund (15), Haillie Anthofer (12), and Emily Nelsen (10) led the scoring for Audubon. Guthrie Center was led by Kacie Schreck's 10 points.

1-0 Audubon has the rest of the week off before taking on Class 2A #2 IKM-Manning next week. 0-1 Guthrie Center gets right back into action tonight (Tuesday) against Martensdale-St. Mary's.
