(Missouri Valley) Despite graduating two of the best runners in the conference, the Riverside boys cross country team was still able to defend their WIC championship. The Bulldogs totaled 41 points in the meet held at Missouri Valley Monday.
Ean Patick placed 2nd followed by teammate Brandon Sipherd in fifth. Also earning all-conference honors were Adam Hartman (7) and Tim Brink (12). The fifth runner contributing to the team score was Dillon Carrier placing 26th.
Coach Alex Oliver says this year's win was more of a complete team victory. He says the group still has plenty of goals to accomplish the rest of the year including getting back to the state meet.
