GRISWOLD FOOTBALL OPERATING AT HIGH LEVEL DOWN THE STRETCH

(Griswold) After a 2-2 start to the season, the Griswold Tigers have turned things on in the second half of the regular season. The Tigers averaged just 9.5 points per game through the first four weeks, but have responded the last three weeks with an offensive average 51 points per game in wins against Westwood, West Monona, and Riverside.

The Tiger defense has been solid ever since a Week 1 loss to St. Albert in which they gave up 41 points. Since then the team has combined to only give up 46 points and have lowered their points allowed per game average to 12.4.

Rushing yardage has been plentiful during the Tigers four game win streak. That was especially true in Griswold's 47-7 win over Riverside last week. The Tigers ran for 598 yards headlined by Kenneth Clary's 256 yards and 4 TD's. Clary averaged 11.6 yards per carry and went over 900 yards on the season.

Up next in Griswold's path is East Mills. The Tigers come into the game at 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the district. East Mills enters at 3-4 overall. Griswold has won five of their last six East Mills has lost three straight.
