(Adair) Week 7 of the season is when Adair-Casey was originally scheduled to take on East Greene, but with East Greene having merged with Jefferson-Scranton/Paton-Churdan it creates an opening on Adair-Casey's schedule.
The bye week comes at a time when Adair-Casey's had been rolling. The Bombers have won 13 of their last 14 regular season games and posted a season high 537 total yards in a Week 6 Homecoming win over Grandview Park Baptist (64-6). Quarterback Gunnar Dinkla threw for a season best 130 yards and running back Clayton Plowman had a career best 259 rushing yards. Plowman's big night puts him over the 1,000 yard mark for the third straight year. The Junior is one of only ten player's in 8-player history to rush for 4,000 yards in a career. He is 73 yards shy of moving into 6th place on the career rushing list.
Defensively Adair-Casey held Grandview Park Baptist to only 23 rushing yards and 136 yards total. All-State defensive end had another monster night with 5 of his 10 tackles being quarterback sacks.
Adair-Casey reaches their off week with a 6-1 record. They await 1-6 Ankeny Christian Academy in two weeks.
