(Carroll) During Week 4 of the 2011 football season the Carroll Tigers marched into Harlan and did something that very few teams have done in the last several years, that’s beat Harlan on their home field. But ever since their 42-20 win that was part of a six game win streak, the Tigers have gone just 4-6 including an unexpected 0-3 start to the 2012 season.
That winless start for Carroll this year has been a result of two turnover filled games against Kuemper Catholic and Atlantic in Weeks 1 and 2, and a narrow loss to Denison-Schleswig last week.
Now they face an undefeated Harlan team, but thanks to last year’s big win over the Cyclones, Carroll still has confidence despite their 0-3 start. They believe they can beat Harlan for a second straight year, but course it won’t be easy against the tradition rich Harlan.
While Carroll has struggled since their big win over Harlan last year, Cyclones have gone 10-2 since Week 4 of last season.
