(Greenfield) The Griswold Tiger football team picked up their first win of the season with come from behind victory at Nodaway Valley Friday night.
In Week 2 of the high school football season, the Griswold football squad was able to pick up win number one on a 41 yard touchdown run from Kenneth Clary. Clary dodged through a tackle at the line of scrimmage and then raced into the end zone to give Griswold their first lead of the game with 5:39 left to play. Clary finished with over 100 all-purpose yards on the night and had the game's only touchdown. Nodaway Valley had the lead late in the first half and throughout much of the second half. The Wolverine's score came on a 24 yard field goal from Ryan Williams with 3:33 left in the first half.
Nodaway Valley drops to 0-2 on the season moving into their first district game next week. The Wolverines will hit the road and take on Missouri Valley. 1-1 Griswold begins district play at Underwood in Week 3.
