(Stanton) Jeff Grebin takes control of the Stanton football program heading into the 2012 season. The coaching move comes after just one season with Jake Nimrod at the helm, before that, coach Don Hicks led the team to 241 wins which ranks in the top 20 all time.
A lack of depth will be a major concern in coach Grebin's first season. Stanton has only three seniors and only 15 total players have been practicing during the first week. A group of seven freshman makes up nearly half of the roster.
The young players will have to grow up in a hurry with the likes of defeding champ Fremont-Mills, a former Class A school in Corning, and perennial contenders CAM and Sidney all in district.
