(Glenwood) In Class 3A District Final baseball last night in Glenwood it was the Harlan Cyclones winning the district title with a 7-3 victory over Glenwood. Harlan grabbed an early 2-0 lead in the first inning when Zach Osborn hit a bases loaded single to center field. Glenwood answered right back in the bottom of the first with two run of their own and it appeared a back and forth game would follow. That turned out not to be the case as Harlan took control the rest of the way. The Cyclones took advantage of three walks and added two more hits in a four run third inning. After the big third inning each team would score one more run to make it a 7-3 final. Osborn finished with a three for four night driving in three runs. Cyclone third baseman Jake Daegas and shortstop Ben Bruck each collected two hits. David Ratigan pitched the win giving up three hits and two walks.
Harlan will play Carroll in substate on Wednesday. The contest will be held in Denison and the game will air on KSOM.
