(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley picked up a big win over Murray in high school softball last night.
3-1 was the final score with Nodaway Valley scoring one run in the 2nd and two runs in the 3rd. Murrays lone run on the board came during the fifth inning.
Wolverine head coach Ray Stewart says that’s as well as his team has played all year.
Freshman Sidney Hohertz picked up her 6th win in the pitchers circle. She struck out eight batters and only allowed one walk.
Next up for 7-11 Nodaway Valley is against Interstate-35 tonight.
Coach Stewart says he hopes last night’s solid play will be a sign of things to come for his team that has struggled to replace a handful of starters from last year’s state qualifying team.
